| Hunter Douglas® deLight™ Details: All 2" Chalet Woods® and Country Woods® blinds are available with the exclusive "de-Light™" feature. When ordinary wood blinds are closed, you see the rout holes in the slats.  However, our wood blinds are built with a special routless design.
This prevents unwanted spots of light from leaking through, and also helps ensure privacy by allowing for tighter slat closure.
Hunter Douglas® de-Light™ Privacy Option (shown in photo) blocks out the light that normal wood blinds let in, giving you total privacy and preventing unwanted light from filtering into the room.
Hunter Douglas has removed the lift cord holes so that the tiniest spots of light can't seep in. To achieve this Hunter Douglas eliminated the unsightly lift cord route holes that normally occur in the center of the wood blind slats. The lift cords are normally strung through the route holes and keep the slats from moving out of alignment.
To keep the slats in alignment, Hunter Douglas notches the slat on the back edge wherever a support ladder falls. The support ladders slip into the notches, keeping the slats from moving side to side and out of alignment. When open, the notches are almost invisible and when closed, the support ladders hide the notches and allow the slats to close tighter than standard wood blinds.
